The Two Chip Solution?
ALAMEDA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 3, 2002– Wind River Systems and Atheros, have agreed to license and resell Wind River’s Tornado Home Gateways platform using Atheros new highly integrated chips. It can be used unaltered or as a starting point for developers.
The Tornado Home Gateway reference design is based on the new AR5001AP chipset , the industry’s most highly integrated WLAN access point solution combining a high-performance microprocessor with multiple wired and wireless interfaces on two all-CMOS chips for wireless repeaters, outdoor wireless devices, residential gateways, and audio/video solutions.
