Motia, a fabless semiconductor company focused on enabling smart antennas for wireless systems providers, today announced that Hawking Technologies, a provider of networking equipment, has selected its Javelin 802.11 smart antenna chip for its future products aimed at enhancing users’ wireless experiences.
“The current Wi-Fi range extending products in the market are simple, passive devices. Motia’s technology offers an intelligent solution that delivers unbeatable results”, said Jason Owen, Senior Product Marketing Manager of Hawking Technologies.
Motia’s standards-compliant signal processor is said to work with any existing baseband and RF chipset and easily integrates into customers’ existing products, giving vendors enhanced performance and up to four times more range in their Wi-Fi products.
