Enough of space espionage and intrigue already, let’s buy us a laptop!
Engadget has the lowdown on the latest Intel Sonoma laptops from Dell; the Inspiron 6000 ($1250) and 9300. They’re not released yet but Intel plans a big launch party on Jan. 19th, reports Infoworld.
Most of the new laptops sporting Intel s new Sonoma chipset (the updated version of Centrino that ups the frontside bus speed to 533MHz and adds DDR2 RAM and PCI Express aren t really supposed to be announced until later this week, but some pics and specs have leaked out for Dell s first two Sonoma laptops, the Inspiron 6000 and Inspiron 9300. The Inspiron 6000 (left) - 15.4-inch, WSXGA+ (1680×1050) LCD screen, 1.73GHz Pentium M processor, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, 80GB hard drive, dual-layer 8xDVD+/-RW drive, 128MB ATI Mobility RADEON X300 PCI-Express video card, built-in 8-in-1 memory card reader, and built-in 802.11b/g WiFi.
The Inspiron 9300 (right) - 17-inch WXGA+ (1440×900) LCD screen, 1.73GHz Pentium M processor, 1GB of RAM, 80GB hard drive, dual-layer 8xDVD+/-RW drive, 256MB NVIDIA GeforceFX 6800 Go PCI-Express video card, and built-in 802.11a/b/g WiFi.
