Nomadix and BelAir announced a joint marketing agreement today that will deliver complete, turn key wireless networks for large hot zones and municipal deployments.

The joint offering gives service providers the ability to deploy metro-region wireless networks quickly. It combines the BelAir100 and BelAir200 Multi-service Switch Routers on the back end, with Nomadix Access Gateways running the Nomadix Service Engine. The companies already have a deployment, Northern California’s luxury resort, the 40-acre Costanoa Coastal Lodge and Camp, that leverages both of their products.

The Nomadix Service Engine addresses customer acquisition, provisioning, security and revenue generation. The NSE eliminates barriers encountered by end users and is enabled for Nomadix Interconnect Services, a suite of services that provide intelligent roaming connectivity, content and application delivery.

The Nomadix products work seamlessly with the BelAir system to create networks that are optimized for data, voice and video services in high density hot zones and metro areas. They are built with BelAir’s Multi-service Switch Routers, the BelAir200 and the BelAir100.

The BelAir200 is a modular, four-radio, wireless internetworking platform that enables Wide-Area Wi-Fi networks with the highest network capacity and broadest reach in challenging deployments such as high-density downtown areas, large hotels and resorts.

The BelAir100 is a two-radio system that accepts the same access and backhaul radio modules as the BelAir200. More compact, simpler and lower cost than the BelAir200, the BelAir100 is designed to provide coverage for a single building or in larger BelAir mesh systems, act as an edge node where the full functionality of the BelAir200 is not required.

The Nomadix/BelAir agreement enables the companies’ sales and marketing teams to work together on channel programs, cross-training, joint-marketing and sales, and customer opportunities.

Other partnerships by Belair have been announced recently:

BelAir and Airpath has a strategic marketing agreement for the metropolitan and hospitality industries. The deal combines BelAir’s Wide Area Wi-Fi infrastructure with Airpath’s WiBOSS Metro and Hospitality integrated management platforms as a complete hotspot solution for hotels, resorts, conference centers, and municipalities looking to offer Wide Area Wi-Fi.

Belair and Lucent has also teamed. The WAGZone (Wireless Athens Georgia Zone) uses seven BelAir200 units to form a wireless network throughout 24 blocks of downtown Athens.
