Airspan Networks announced today that it has made its largest WipLL 700 MHz and 900 MHz Broadband Wireless Access system sale to date in the United States through its Authorized System Integrator, Stutler Technologies. The system will be used by Central Wisconsin Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wood County Telephone Company.

Airspan will deliver more than 5,000 subscriber premise radios and approximately 100 base stations over a 2-year period for installation by Stutler in CWCI’s network in the counties of Marathon, Wood, Portage, Waupaca, Juneau, Adams, Waushara, Marquette and Green Lake in Wisconsin.

By June 1, 2005 it expects to add voice over IP (VoIP) services to the network.

“We chose the WipLL platform because it allows us to offer high quality service in both VoIP and broadband data to our customers. We believe that the coverage and service performance of WipLL is the best option available for both the 700 MHz licenses that we own and in the unlicensed bands,” stated Jamey Lynse, WCTC Director of Operations.
