Technical publishing conglomerate CMP Media has acquired Light Reading and their four market-leading publications; (Light Reading, Unstrung, Byte & Switch, and Next-Gen Data Center Forum); along with their web- based seminars (webinars); Heavy Reading, their paid research and advisory services and other assets.
Unstrung is known for good old fashioned reporting along with entertaining commentary. People like Dan Jones, Gabriel Brown and Justin Springham bring color to the largely grey world of tech reportage.
In a recent survey, 21 out of the top 25 technology analysts on Wall Street named Light Reading as their Number One source of information.
