Belair Networks says at The Wireless Event, tomorrow in London, BelAir will announce an expansion to their deployment in Islington, London, as well as a new network providing the wireless backhaul for the new public transport system in Kent, UK. BelAir and partner, Cityspace will be holding live demonstrations at the show.

A few details of the announcements BelAir is planning to make at the show include:

  • Islington ‘Technology Mile’ Expansion – London’s largest hot zone has been expanded to cover four full kilometers. With this expansion, the ‘Technology Mile’ is the largest hot zone in the UK
  • Kent Fastrack Wireless Backhaul – BelAir with Cityspace will provide wireless mesh nodes for carrier-grade backhaul for safe and speedy delivery of travel information and interactive services on the city’s new rapid transit public transport system.
  • Live Demonstrations at The Wireless Event – BelAir will conduct live demonstrations of wireless VoIP, real-time broadband data transfer and a CCTV video application over its carrier-grade wireless mesh network.

Cityspace is a UK-based technology company, which has been providing urban digital networks in partnership with local authorities since 1996. It designs and delivers local information and digital services to public spaces through its three divisions; Cityspace Interactive Media, Cityspace Transport and Cityspace Wireless.
