CBS plans to use Bluetooth coupled with billboard posters to market new TV shows in its fall lineup, reports C/Net. The video clips are free and delivered via Bluetooth directly to the device so consumers won’t be charged by their carrier for data usage.

Intel WiFi Software Fix

ZD Net reports a software update for Intel wireless hardware is faulty and can hog PC memory. A fix is due today on Intel’s web site.
The problem affects the Intel PROSet software, version 10.5, Amy Martin, an Intel spokeswoman, said. The PROSet software accompanies Intel’s drivers that run the company’s wireless hardware on PCs.

Apple Batteries Recalled

Apple Computer on Thursday recalled 1.8 million Sony-built laptop batteries that could overheat and catch fire. Apple says it has received nine reports of batteries overheating, including two consumers who received minor burns after handling overheated computers.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the rechargeable lithium-ion batteries include cells manufactured by Sony and were sold [...]
