SkyCross today announced a new product line of small WiMAX antennas. SkyCross pioneered a unique antenna design. They designed and manufactured both the first internal and external antennas for WiBro and Korea’s mobile TV standard DMB.

They can be used in PC cards, notebook computers, handsets, and UMCPs (Ultra-Mobile Personal Computers). SkyCross antennas use less space for similar performance. The SkyCross embedded dual band diversity antenna provides broadband frequency coverage covering both 850 and 1900 bands for cellular EVDO network cards.

Unlike fractal antennas (wikipedia), Skycross uses something called a Meander Line Antenna. MLA is made up mostly by the delay characteristic of the meanderline rather than the radiating structure. It uses SkyCross patented printed ink technology to produce a powerful antenna array.

Skycross claims it is more efficient and cost/effective than many competitive antenna designs.
