MySpace and Cingular have partnered to offer enhanced access to the site on mobile phones for Cingular customers, the companies said Monday.

The MySpace Mobile on Cingular deal allows Cingular’s customers access to MySpace Mobile, including tools like the ability to edit MySpace profiles, view and add friends, post photos and blogs, send and receive MySpace messages and more from their mobile phone. Any information entered will update both the mobile component and the online MySpace profile page.

The service is available from Cingular Wireless for $2.99 a month plus standard data usage charges.

MySpace, a unit of Murdock-owned Fox Interactive, also has a mobile service with virtual operator Helio. Cingular, a joint venture between BellSouth and AT&T, however, marks a much bigger move to mobility.
