Just days after Cingular introduced Palm’s Treo 750 for $400, Verizon Wireless has lowered its prices on several of its Treo models, reports RCR News.
Verizon’s Treo 700p with or without a camera is now selling at $300, down from $400 the previous week. The Treo 700w plummeted to $250 from $400.
And just days after Cingular introduced Motorola’s Krzr for $200, Verizon Wireless halved its Krzr price to $100 from $200. Verizon Wireless also dropped the price for its Moto Q to $100 from $200, a price drop that comes shortly after Sprint Nextel Corp.’s introduction of the Q. Sprint Nextel is currently selling the Q for $200.
Perhaps the sweetest deal of all is Cingular’s 8525 PDA Phone (right) available on Amazon for $189 (after rebates).
The PDA phone includes HSDPA data connections, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi (802.11b/g), a Samsung 400MHz Processor, Micro SD slot, Windows Mobile and is Push to Talk capable.

The HTC Hermes design features a large touch screen display, quad-band GSM with HSDPA, a 2 megapixel camera (sample photos) and WiFi. Considering it supports HSDPA/UMTS data on all three bands, and EDGE/GPRS on all four world GSM bands, the 8525 has a good start on connectivity. In the Philadelphia area we managed speeds as high as about 850kbit/s on Cingular’s network, which is about half the speed we obtained over a WiFi network connected to Verizon’s FIOS network. The 8525 has plenty of other connectivity options, though, including the 802.11b/g WiFi support we just hinted at, Bluetooth 2.0, infrared, and a miniUSB cable connection. The Bluetooth system includes support for not only normal headsets, but also stereo devices thanks to the A2DP profile. [...]
