Cheetah Wireless Technologies (CWTI) and BelAir Networks have launched a WiFi mesh network along the Las Vegas Strip (map), including coverage inside and outside of the country’s largest hotels and casinos.
To cover Las Vegas casinos and hotels, some reaching over 30 floors, CWTI uses BelAir’s outdoor-in broadband wireless network solution. Upon completion, the wireless network will cover almost the entire Strip.
CWTI deployed BelAir200 and BelAir100 Wireless Multi-service Nodes, to addresses a combination of municipal public access and hospitality industry communications requirements,” said Jim Freeze, SVP of Marketing and Alliances, BelAir Networks.
The Las Vegas network – called “Cheetah network” – offers tiered service levels at hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly rates.
Headquartered in Las Vegas, Cheetah Wireless Technologies offers solutions from a number of manufacturers and has integrated them into a single wireless canopy. CWTI says this strategy allows seamless transition for the user, regardless of the infrastructure.
It utilizes a centralized Network Operation Center with toll-free 24-hour technical support, integrated billing and unified rate plans.
