Apple today updated its 13-inch MacBook consumer notebooks with faster Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory and larger hard drives in every model. Prices have remained the same.
The MacBook features built-in 802.11n, a built-in iSight video camera, Apple’s MagSafe Power Adapter and iLife ‘06, Apple’s suite of digital lifestyle applications.
The one-inch thin MacBook comes in three models: white 2.0 GHz ($1,099) and 2.16 GHz MacBook models ($1,299), and a black 2.16 GHz MacBook ($1,499). And no, it does not appear to be based on Intel’s Santa Rosa platform. No upgrade news on the MacBook Pro line (yet), but Santa Rosa is rumored to be on the new Pros.
iLife ‘06 applications feature iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, GarageBand and iWeb along with Mac OS X version 10.4.9 Tiger, including Safari, Mail, iCal, iChat AV, Front Row and Photo Booth.
