Another Billion for WIN-T

General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin got another $921 million to continue working on the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T), the Army’s new battlefield communications network.

T-Mobile Buys SunCom for 2.4B

T-Mobile USA announced it will acquire regional operator SunCom Wireless (PDF) for about $2.4 billion in cash and assumed debt, reports RCR News. T-Mobile is paying $2.4B for SunCom’s 1.1 million customers, in effect paying over $2,000 per subscriber.

Bridge Ratings says traditional and satellite radio will take a significant hit in listening about a decade after WiFi and WiMax technologies are available in-car.
