NextPhase + GigaBeam Deliver SoCal Biz Nets

NextPhase Wireless, a nationwide developer of WiMAX-ready networks, and GigaBeam, a company providing “wireless fiber optics”, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which will serve as the basis for a Joint Venture to provide 70/80 GHz networks in Los Angeles and Orange counties, in Southern California.

NextPhase says its GigaBeam’s WiFiber links will enable them to offer business class connectivity services at broadband speeds up to 1 Gbps.

NextPhase uses Alvarion BreezeACCESS VL Customer Premises Equipment, which features up to 32Mbps data throughput.

NextPhase says it can build out metro networks across cities and metro areas for up to 1/50th of the cost of deploying terrestrial fiber, while enabling rapid installation, fast redeployment and capacity scaling to match customer demand.

NextPhase Wireless, is focused on delivering WiMAX-ready, integrated Internet, voice, video and managed services to its fast growing customer and client base which currently numbers more than 10,000.
