Advertisers are falling over themselves to pay for video clips, says Valley Wag. According to numbers gathered by WebVideoReport, the Wall Street Journal charges a $90 CPM, or cost per thousand views, for the 15 second prerolls which play before its Web videos while MySpace asks a $25 CPM.

Zipit Wireless is promoting a text-messaging plan for its small Zipit Wireless Messenger 2 device for free instant messaging with AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.

Motorola today announced that German telecommunications provider, NeckarCom Telekommunikation GmbH, has launched a commercial Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service on a WiMAX network in the Ulm region of Germany.

New Zealand is auctioning off WiMAX wireless broadband spectrum, with eight firms chasing licences. TelstraClear has pulled out, saying it does not believe that WiMAX broadband services will be competitive with fixed line broadband access, The Dominion Post reports.
