With (affordable) WiMAX around the corner, I’m looking at Netbooks and Laptops. I favor cheap and small Netbooks, but built-in WiMAX on Centrino 2 laptops would be nice.
The Gigabyte M912M tablet (reviewed by UMPC Portal’s Steve Paine) looks slick. Pop in a WiMAX Express Modem ($59) and you’re good to go. Unfortunately, it’s only available from Dynamism, not other US based retailers yet.
Oh, well, Android will probably deliver more bang for the buck. With both, I could become a global powerhouse for under $1,000!
In related news, PC demand started falling in emerging markets including China in mid-August and has been on the decline globally most of September, reports EE Times.
