WiFi Planet notes that a roundtable discussion on broadband stimulus is taking place today at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) offices in Washington, D.C. today.
The roundtable (pdf), which began today at 10 a.m. EDT, is part of a series of public discussions on how to allocate the $7.2 billion apportioned for broadband in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which was signed into law by President Barack Obama last month.
The event will continue with “Roundtable on the Role of the States” followed by public comment on that subject. “Roundtable on Broadband Mapping” is scheduled from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm, followed by a public comment period scheduled to close out the day at 4:15.
All meetings will be streamed live on the Web at www.ntia.doc.gov/broadbandgrants. Materials will also be archived at www.ntia.doc.gov/broadbandgrants and www.rurdev.usda.gov.
