They received nearly 300 entries in 18 categories. Participants could “vote” to determine the winner of the “Best In Show” award. Taking this year’s Best in Show award was Top Global for its 3G UFO Personal Hotspot, which provides instant mobile access to the Internet.
Sprint and TeleNav received first place at CTIA’s Emerging Technology Awards for their TeleNav Vehicle Manager, available now exclusively from Sprint.
Launched this February, TeleNav Vehicle Manager, powered by Turnpike, combines vehicle diagnostics and IFTA Fuel Tax filing with GPS-enabled navigation, tracking, wireless forms and wireless timecards. The applications helps companies manage their day-to-day fleet operations, reduce operating costs and simplify regulatory compliance.
Deployed by 13 carriers in 21 countries, TeleNav is a global leader in wireless location-based services (LBS). Currently, the company’s solutions are available in four continents, including North and South America, Asia and Europe.
