Hi Everyone:
Sam Churchill, here, with some site news. Dailywireless has had some reliability problems over the last few months, due in part to RSS requests flooding our servers.
We moved the site to a new host a few days ago and believe we have fixed the issues. One of the issues was that a cache of earlier pages (from Nov 6) that IE Explorer would default to. We’ve cleared that cache so the current articles should now appear on Explorer (it was okay on Firefox, so we didn’t notice it right away).
Dailywireless wouldn’t exist without the efforts of Don Park, a very talented coder (and friend). Don has kept this site running for close to eight years, starting from his basement server.
In other site news, we have expanded the right column to enable us to run Internet Advertising Bureau standard format ads (300×200 and 125 x 125). We’ve signed up to an ad network that will provide some new banners on the right. We’ve also got a new sponsor that is grabbing the top, right spot on the page. That banner should appear shortly.
Mostly we want to thank you for reading Dailywireless. It’s always fun for us, and we want to keep it fun for you, too. We hope to add more features in the future to serve you better.
