A user interface designer for Google’s Chrome browser shows tablet devices using Google’s Chrome OS. The ideas are only mock-ups, but Google’s Android mobile phone operating system is influential, and its Chrome browser continues to steadily grow in usage. A tablet could be the next step.
Chromium is the name of the open-source developer project that underlies the branded Chrome product. The Chrome OS could be an easier sell on tablets than on Netbooks, opines C/Net.
Tablets tend to focus more on a collection of specialized uses that only require light typing, such as reading books or surfing the Net.

The tablet market isn’t as big as the Netbook market, though.
