Xtify, a geo-location platform and its associated SDK (software development kit), lets developers integrate geo-targeted messaging into their applications. It’s available now for Google’s Android mobile operating system and later arriving to the Blackberry, Symbian, Windows Mobile and iPhone operating systems.

It delivers notifications and messages directly to users’ devices and prompts users to take desired actions – whenever and wherever most appropriate, based on geo-location and geo-history.

Developers of local search and discovery applications can now drive prospective customers into a retail store with a message sent only to those who are currently nearby, explains the company. Publishers of travel and restaurant guide applications can send their users interesting facts and recommendations related to their actual location.
