Verizon Wireless has decided not to sell the Google Nexus One smart phone, Bloomberg reports, although Google’s Web site shows that the phone would be available through Verizon in spring 2010. The site now points Verizon users seeking Android-based phones to the HTC Incredible. T-Mobile already carriers the phone, and Sprint is expected to offer the phone as well.
Meanwhile, Vodafone will carry the Nexus One from customers in the United Kingdom, says the Google website. Soon after, they will also begin selling Nexus One in France (SFR), Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. Vodafone is their first European partner to distribute the Nexus One.
The Verizon HTC Droid Incredible will be available at Verizon this week, however, for $199 with a two-year contract. It features a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen at 480×800 pixels, 740MB of ROM and 512MB of RAM and Android 2.1 with the latest version of HTC’s Sense user interface, reports Android Central.
