FCC Okays White Spaces

The FCC has adopted final rules allowing use of white spaces in the United States (pdf final order). White spaces are unused broadcast television channels, between 54-698 MHz (TV Channels 2-51). Panasonic’s new Toughbook tablet, the U1 Ultra, has been updated with a newer 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a larger 64GB SSD with Windows 7. T-Mobile USA has installed a solar-powered cell site, the carrier’s first site powered by renewable energy in the United States, reports GigaOm.
