Motorola’s Xoom tablet (Wikipedia), running Honeycomb, is expected to retail for $699 at Best Buy (without a contract), according to DroidLife. Their comparison chart (below) contrasts the XOOM ($699) with Apple’s 32GB 3G iPad ($729).
You could argue it’s not a fair comparison. The iPad2 is expected to be out soon. The MacRumors blog reports the next iPad’s resolution will be 2048×1536, or double the current iPad resolution. It’s expected to have dual cameras, HDMI output and other features claimed by the Motorola Xoom, which is expected at Best Buy on February 17.
The G-Slate is T-Mobile bound, and should arrive in late March/early April. Nvidia plans to announce its upgraded system-on-chip during a company presentation at Mobile World Congress next month. The new Tegra 2 3D chip is targeted for mobile devices with 3D displays. It will be available for smartphones and tablets this spring.
