According to Forrester Research’s annual survey of nearly 10,000 people around the world, 32 percent said they would prefer Windows over Apple or Android for their next work tablet.

Some 26 percent of those surveyed preferred an iPad compared the 32 percent who wanted a Windows tablet. The research company predicts that 200 million workers will be getting a Windows tablet, such as the Surface Pro. Microsoft Office on a tablet is a big draw.

Forrester is especially optimistic for the iPhone, citing that while 16 percent of information workers are using the iOS handheld for work now, 33 percent said it would be their next work phone. Forrester predicts that Apple will continue to be a smartphone maker of choice.

C/Net speculates that an iPad Pro could be compelling, incorporating the Mac OS rather than Apple’s mobile iOS.
