Tanaza: New Cloud Control Firmware

Tanaza says everybody can manage hotspots in remote and multiple locations. The vendor-agnostic solution to cloud management say you can pick your own AP – one that can be Tanaza Powered through their freely available firmware – and deploy today your branded hotspots to restaurants, caf├ęs, retail stores.

Their latest cloud management software, Tanaza 1.16, was released today and features splash pages, Radius and more. You can download Tanaza firmware and flash your device to get a Tanaza Powered Access Point, adding cloud management and remote monitoring capabilities to it. The latest version of Tanaza firmware for Ubiquiti’s UniFi is 1.7. Tanaza firmware is available for a large number of Ubiquiti WiFi access points.

Tanaza provides a Captive Portal functionality based on a Splash Page hosted on an external server.

Tanaza’s commuinity web site has a new look, and is now integrated with Facebook.

Their roadmap includes connectors to cloud manage:

Their internal version of the Tanaza Agent allows you to cloud manage any OpenWRT device through the cloud. It’s currently possible to integrate the agent into OpenWRT-based firmwares, turn the devices on and add them to the Cloud Dashboard.
