Newspaper chain Gannett, has launched free local mobile news sites to complement its newspaper websites. The service spans across some 84 daily newspapers and 19 broadcast station websites, including USA Today.

The news window measures 14″ by 11″, which is the approximately screen dimensions of a standard 17″ monitor. A mini Mac drives it. Just about any computer can run a slideshow.

The 2007 Pulitzer Prize Winners were announced today. The Portland, Oregonian, won a 2007 Pulitzer for The Kim Family Saga, for breaking news.
