The Wall Street Journal says Google’s open platform, Android, won’t arrive on handsets until the fourth quarter. But Om Malik and Dana Blankenhorn at ZDNet say it’s the carriers that have delayed Google’s Android launch.

FCC Seeks Feedback on 2155MHz

WiMAX Open Patent Alliance

Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Intel, Samsung, Sprint, and Clearwire, plan Monday to announce (webcast) the creation of an organization called the Open Patent Alliance, says C/Net.

The FCC has taken a first step toward re-auctioning the 700MHz “D block” in the 700 MHz band.
