Proxim WiMAX Covers 12K Miles

Tuesday at the WiMAX Forum Global Congress in Amsterdam, Sprint’s WiMAX CTO said the first commercial Xohm service will start this September in Baltimore. “Mobile WiMAX services will follow in the Washington DC and Chicago markets during Q4 2008. WiMAX Forum Certifies 2.5GHz Gear: Good to Go

The WiMAX Forum today announced the first ten 2.5 GHz Mobile WiMAX products to receive the WiMAX Forum Certified Seal of Approval.

Clearwire on Thursday outlined a long-term view of growth for their new WiMAX venture with Sprint, forecasting revenue of over $17.5 billion by 2017.
